“I have only five years in the ring, but after me what next. So, I request that government targets young athletes and also solve the internal bickering with the federations because athletes suffer,” Apolot explained.
She cited the Kickboxing federation that has had internal wrangles for the last three years.
She added that Council and ministry have left wrangles to dwell on for a long time yet athletes suffer.
“However, all said, I’m ready to battle Andre and she has no style she will not use that I have never practiced,” She stressed promising Uganda victory.
Uganda Professional Boxing Commission president Salim Uhuru pledged to continue supporting athletes.
“We have not focused on boxing alone, but all athletes as long as they are carrying the Uganda Flag as Council shall support them,” Uhuru said.
