The Crew of Duncan Mubiru and Musa Nsubuga in a Subaru GVB has protested opening the route in the UMOSPOC Kabalega Rally on Saturday, October 23, 2021.
The sixth round of the Uganda national rally championship (NRC) will be held in Hoima and Kikuube districts on Saturday, October 23, 2021, and has all the Creame de cream competing.
Mubiru’s co-driver Musa Nsubuga says that it is unsafe to have them open the route because they are very fast.
“Yes we are leading the table but the rules have it that previous year’s top seven finishes could start the race. Actually in this event either Omar Mayanja or Arthur BlickJr. Should opening the road,” Nsubuga said.
According to the clerk of the course Mukiibi Katende he had planned the starting order as they stand on the NRC log.
This meant that Mubiru popularly known as Kikankane who is on top of the log will open the route followed by the International University of East Africa and Stabex ambassador Alwi before Fred Kitaka and Omar Mayanja follows.
The event is supported by Worldwide Movers, International University of East Africa, Grand Praclos hotel, Kontik Hotel, FMU, Mika resort Hotel, and Hoima Resort.
