Rally drivers also need to be motivated because they play a big role not only to entertain but also to promote the economy of this country in particular the communities where the events are held.
That is the reason Rosefoam Mattress awarded six High-Density Mattresses of 6×5 inches to the winners in the 2WD, Club man rally Championship, and National Rally Champion category winners.
Naiga Margret Birabwa the Rosefoam Sales executive told USPA media at the awards ceremony of the UMOSPC Kabalega Rally on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Kontik Hotel in Hoima.
Ibrahim Lubega popularly known as Pasuwa won the 2WD category to seal his championship trophy with an event to go.
“If I’m not mistaken am already the 2WD champion, but I will be in Jinja to prove wrong those who were not satisfied today,” Lubega
Meanwhile, in the National Rally Championship category Rajiv Ruparelia is still facing protest by fellow drivers who demand him to be penalised for servicing the car in the control.
On Saturday Rajiv navigated by Enock Olinga in a VW Polo were fined Uganda shillings 500,000 (USD 140) to be awarded victory of the highly competitive event, but drivers are still demanding a penalty or disqualification as per the regulations.
“Let motorsport be all about rules, but not the richest. And if they want, let us start biding for the trophies and the one with much money takes it all,” Duncan Mubiru who finished the second but would have been the winner said.
Lubega also received a goat from NADIA Excel Recruitment Agency, a company that takes employees to Germany.
