Uganda’s lady golfer Irene Nakalembe claimed the Tanzania Ladies Open2021 last week.
The Entebbe Golf Club member finished the three-day tournament with a total gross score of 227 gross claiming her first major in the COVID-19 affected season and also becoming the second Ugandan to claim this major after 2019 winner Peace Kabasweka.
Nakalembe overcame Tanzania’s top lady golfers Iddi Madina, 227, and Angel Eaton Howard, 228 gross respectively.
Other Ugandan Lady Golfers who participated in the tournament included former Lady President Eva Magala, Peace Kabasweka and Martha Babirye.
