The Woodball national team is confident they will emerge victors in the Africa Woodball Championship that tee off on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at the Kiambu County Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology on Thika Highway.

Ronald Muwanguzi disclosed to USPA Media that they are ready and their target is to dominate the championship by winning both the Team and Individual Gold Medals in the women and Men’s categories respectively.

Uganda is the defending champion of the annual championship that was last held in 2019.

The 2020 edition was not held because of the coronavirus pandemic outbreak that affected all sports disciplines following a global clampdown on all social gatherings.

The Uganda team has eight players of which four are men and four women.

They include Onesmus Atamba (cpt), Ronald Muwanguzi, Thomas Kedi, Ronald Mulindwa, Israel Muwanguzi, and Thomas Kedi (Men), Joan Mukova, Joyce Nalubega  Florence Mukooya and Christine Birungi (Women).

The technical team includes Erick Enabu (Coach) Shahnaazi (Team Manager) and Julius Agaba (technical).
