Uganda lost to Kenya 6-0 in the return leg of the 2022 American Football Africa Zone Series at Legends on Sunday, November 27, 2022.

This was the 5th edition of the American Football Africa Zone Series, a championship that started 4 years back and Uganda hosted it for the first time.

This was a qualifying game for a slot at the European Championship where Africa got a single slot which Kenya has taken.

‘’This is the first full contact game for the Uganda team and I am really impressed by the players. We also used this as a marketing platform to attract more players to the sport. ’Head coach Shudais Mpanga said.

The General Secretary, the National Council of Sports Dr. Patrick Ogwel assured players of government support.

’You have played a very good game for beginners. What we need to do now is have more friendlies because I have been informed the Kenya team has more game time than us. We also need to improve on the feeding of the team to become stronger for our opponents.’’

Uganda had earlier on taken part in the first held in Kenya where it they tied on points.
