Best of December 2022:

Mbogo High & Kibuli Sec School Badminton Teams (235 Points)

1st Runners up:Ndejje University – (210 Points)

2nd Runners up:

Uganda Motocross Team (205 Points)

Sports journalists under their umbrella Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) has today January 16,2023 voted Kibuli Secondary School and Mbogo High School Badminton teams as the outstanding sports personalities for the month of December 2022.This was during their Nile Special USPA Monthly Assembly held at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala.

Kibuli and Mbogo high school were voted the best of December because of their outstanding performance in the 2022 Africa Schools Badminton Championship in Rose Hill City, Mauritius in the boys’ and girls’ categories respectively.

Samuel Wasswa, Akbar Nooh Oduka, Ahmed Nooh Oduka and Aaron Ndawula with coach Muguluma Joshua formed Kibuli team while Nazifah Nakiyemba, Sharifa Mbabazi and Swabra Nanyombi with William Kabindi as coach were for Mbogo high.

The two schools pooled 235 points, ahead of Ndejje University (210 points) and the Uganda Motocross Team (205 points).

Ndejje University won the regional university tournament for seventh consecutive time while, the Uganda Motocross team clinched the East and Central African title in Nairobi, Kenya.

The USPA members were also taken through an educative session in the rugby sport by Saudah Adiru Jamilah who is Uganda Rugby Union Education and training manager replacing Robert Bwali who is now serving rugby Africa at a continental level.

USPA president Moses Ali Sayed Lubega noted the need to get on board more corporate partnerships so that the association activities are not interrupted at any time.

The outgoing secretary Johnson Were also handed over the instruments of power that included the association stamp, cheque book and constitution.
