The Platinum Credit Heathens beat the Rams 57-22 to lift their 13th Uganda Cup trophy. The final was played at Kings Park Arena.

“We are excited about winning this cup and we are going to continue practicing to make sure that we start the league on the winning side,” Heathens coach Athio Muhamed said.

The final saw the Pirates write the history of getting into the final for the first time since it was formed and coach Richard Lumu said that it is the beginning of his side to be in the final.

“Heathens beat us because they were more experienced than us, but we are not giving up. We are going on the drawing board and we shall fight back to return to the final,” Lumu said.
